JOB PURPOSE

KCB Bank Kenya is seeking to recruit a Project Manager – Mifugo ni Mali Project responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and successful delivery of a donor-funded livestock and economic empowerment program.

The role is critical in ensuring effective project execution, stakeholder coordination, financial accountability, and compliance with donor requirements while driving impact in communities through sustainable development initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead implementation and monitoring of all project activities in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
Serve as the key liaison between the bank, donors, and implementing partners
Develop and execute project strategies, including go-to-market approaches for program initiatives
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, reporting standards, and financial oversight
Manage project budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
Oversee monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track performance and impact
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for stakeholders and donors
Conduct field visits to oversee project implementation and progress
Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous learning within the project
Lead and manage project teams to ensure high performance and delivery of objectives


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Project Management, or related field
Master’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
Professional certification in Project Management or Monitoring & Evaluation
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in project management
Experience managing donor-funded programs and large-scale budgets
Strong background in stakeholder, grant, and relationship management
Experience in monitoring and evaluation and program implementation
