Sales Representative – Uganda

Watu Africa (Watu Simu division) is hiring a Sales Representative to support dealer networks, drive sales performance, and strengthen field operations across assigned routes.

This role is ideal for a highly driven field sales professional who enjoys working directly with dealers, analyzing performance data, and improving market coverage in a fast-paced environment.


About the Role

The Sales Representative plays a key role in driving revenue growth through dealer engagement, route optimization, and credit conversion strategies. You will work closely with dealers and field officers to ensure smooth operations and strong sales performance.


What You’ll Do

Sales & Performance Management

  • Analyze daily performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
  • Monitor offline rates and unpaid metrics across assigned routes
  • Engage underperforming dealers and create improvement action plans
  • Align dealers and field officers on performance expectations

Training & Development

  • Train dealers on Watu Simu products, services, and processes
  • Conduct daily retraining sessions for field officers on systems and loan processes
  • Ensure accurate understanding of credit terms, onboarding, and installations

Dealer & Field Support

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and DSRs
  • Provide operational support and resolve field issues
  • Ensure route compliance and smooth daily operations

Reporting & Market Insights

  • Submit daily activity and sales reports
  • Share feedback on competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
  • Support continuous improvement through field insights

Route Expansion & Growth

  • Expand dealership coverage and onboard new stores
  • Drive conversion from cash to credit customers
  • Support revenue growth through improved dealer performance

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, field operations, or dealer management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to train and support external stakeholders
  • High discipline in reporting and compliance
