About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of core platform features used by clinicians, care managers, and healthcare organizations. You will work across frontend and backend systems while ensuring performance, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.
This role combines full-stack development, healthcare technology integration, and AI-assisted software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve core platform features including patient charts, clinical dashboards, billing systems, and assessment workflows.
- Build and enhance clinician and management dashboards that provide actionable insights.
- Support automated clinical assessment delivery through secure messaging systems.
- Integrate healthcare systems using HL7 FHIR and SFTP-based connections.
- Improve reliability of messaging, billing, and document generation workflows.
- Maintain and extend Twilio messaging pipelines.
- Implement nurse license validation and compliance-related functionality.
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant data handling and secure integrations.
- Utilize AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
- Contribute to software architecture, performance optimization, and feature delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong frontend development skills using React and TypeScript.
- Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience building APIs, services, and integrations.
- Knowledge of asynchronous job processing and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Redis, BullMQ, Amazon SQS, or comparable technologies.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security requirements.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong written communication and documentation skills.
