Netflix is seeking an experienced Software Engineer 6 to join its Ads Account Foundations team. This remote opportunity offers the chance to help build and scale the systems that power Netflix’s rapidly growing advertising business.
As part of the Ads Platform Engineering organization, you will work on foundational advertiser account systems, identity verification automation, account intelligence, spend attribution, and API-first services that support advertisers, agencies, and programmatic advertising platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable cloud-based advertising platforms.
- Develop advertiser account management systems and APIs.
- Create automated account verification and cohort assignment solutions.
- Build spend attribution systems for programmatic advertising.
- Improve API reliability, security, governance, and observability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, and advertising operations.
- Drive architectural decisions that support long-term platform scalability.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building cloud-based applications.
- 4+ years of experience in advertising technology or demand-side platforms.
- Strong understanding of programmatic advertising and digital marketing.
- Experience developing API-first services using REST or GraphQL.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, API gateways, and data governance.
- Experience with observability, SLOs, incident management, and customer-facing systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to advertising industry standards such as OpenRTB or VAST.
- Knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI applications.
- Experience in Connected TV (CTV) advertising.
- Familiarity with AI agent integrations and API security.
