In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications while collaborating with product owners, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Build new mobile features and improve existing applications.
- Participate in system analysis, application design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
- Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and testing environments.
- Implement test-driven development practices and automation testing.
- Optimize application performance and user experience.
- Stay updated on emerging mobile technologies and industry trends.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance engineering efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Android development experience.
- Strong experience building Android applications from scratch and maintaining existing applications.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK and Android application architecture.
- Experience with Android UI design principles, custom views, and responsive layouts.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Knowledge of offline storage, threading, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud messaging services and push notifications.
- Experience with Git source code management.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
