This is a remote contract role where you’ll work on a live product, contributing to real features used by a global audience while collaborating with a distributed engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack features using Ruby on Rails and React
- Work within an existing codebase and deliver production-ready code
- Pick up tasks, scope work, and ensure strong test coverage
- Collaborate with engineers and client teams on development tasks
- Participate in sprint planning, demos, and technical discussions
- Contribute to system architecture and integration decisions
- Identify risks early and propose solutions
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
Requirements
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and React
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Ability to work within large, existing codebases
- Experience building scalable or real-time applications
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical teams
- Self-driven and able to work independently in a remote setup
- Availability to work in EST or compatible time zones
Nice to Have
- Experience with real-time tools (Stream, Pusher, etc.)
- Background in creator economy or community platforms
- Experience deploying applications on AWS, Heroku, or similar
- Experience working as a contractor in distributed teams
